Lebanon's annual Christmas Parade is just a day away, and by now, work should be wrapping up on parade entries and parade watchers should have their favorite spots picked out.

The parade will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday. Parade entries will start lining up at 9 a.m. at Nelson Park.

There is no official time when spectators should start lining up along the parade route. Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce Director Debbie Wikowsky said some will start arriving at 9 a.m. - or even sooner.

"Just however early they need to, to get to their favorite spot. There will be people with their chairs set up or their trucks backed up when we start work at 6 a.m. It's a big deal," Wikowsky said.

From the park, the parade will travel east on Elm Street, turn north on Jefferson Avenue, then east on Fifth Street and end at the Lebanon Junior High School. The viewing stand will be located in front of Bank of America. Announcers are Danny Rhoades of Lebanon and Duane Garren of Monett, who is the emcee for the annual Gospel Spectacular and Brumley Gospel Sing.

This year's parade theme is "Share the Light of Christmas," which was submitted by Andrea Clearbrook. There are 150 entries in this year's parade, a little more than last year, according to Wikowsky.
