The Missouri Department of Social Services was contacted when a seemingly intoxicated woman went to the wrong school to pick up her child.
At about 2:51 p.m. Thursday, the Lebanon Police Department was notified by a case worker that a woman was looking for her child at an elementary school which her child did not attend. An officer met the caseworker at Maplecrest to meet the parent when she arrived at the correct school, according to a Lebanon Police Department report.
The case worker told the officer that the 30-year-old Lebanon woman went to Boswell Elementary School to pick up her 7-year-old child, but was told that her child did not attend that school. According to staff at the elementary, the woman "appeared to be intoxicated by the way she was acting."
When the woman arrived at Maplecrest, she was told to step into an office to talk to the case worker and officer.
