Winifred “Winnie” M. Bradshaw, 101, died Saturday morning, May 11, 2013, at Christian Health Care North in Lebanon.
She was born Nov. 11, 1911, near Decaturville to Jasper and Rachael Looney McGuire. On Oct. 16, 1934, she married L.D. Bradshaw.
Winifred “Winnie” M. Bradshaw was a devoted homemaker for her family and was a wonderful cook. She also helped her husband in the operation of their farm near Dove for many years.
She attended Zion Baptist Church near Lebanon as a child.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, L.D., on June 27, 2004; a son, Lee Dan Bradshaw; a brother, Curtis McGuire; and seven sisters, Flossie Cross, Velma Mizer, Vada Williams, Elva DeCoursey, Effie Darrow, Wilma Berry and Sylvia Miller.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Joan Bradshaw, of Lebanon; two granddaughters, Kim Hargis of Aurora, Ill., and Sandra Meckem of Bremerton, Wash.; a great-grandson, Devin Meckem of Lebanon; four great-great-grandchildren, Brittany Meckem of Rolla, Kadinee Meckem, Kailyn Meckem and Connor Meckem, all of Lebanon; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Winifred “Winnie” M. Bradshaw are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with Rev. Bob Knapp officiating. Burial will be in the Hufft Cemetery near Eldridge.
Visitation is scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
