Emily Jackson, 23, of Columbia, formerly of Lebanon, died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at her home.
She was born on Feb. 20. 1990 in Jefferson City to Keith and LaDonna (Hirter) Jackson.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Carl and Emma Dick, James C. “J.C.” and Dorothy Jackson and Geneva Smith.
She was a 2008 graduate of Lebanon High School. She was a current student at the University of Missouri-Columbia and would have graduated in May of 2013 with a bachelor’s of fine arts. She was a student manager of Rollins Dining Hall on the campus.
Survivors include her parents, Keith and LaDonna Jackson of Linneus; a brother, Jonathan Carl “J.C.” Jackson of Linneus; her grandparents, Kathleen Hirter of Savannah and James D. and Willadean Jackson of Jefferson City; her boyfriend, Kevin Gross, of Columbia; uncles and aunts, Loren and Elaine Hirter of Savannah, James M. and Carol Jackson of West Chester, Ohio, and Jill and Mike Brittingham of Macon; and other relatives.
Services for Emily Jackson will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home in Brookfield with Pastor David Sallee officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Brookfield under the direction of Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
