The Conway baseball team geared up for the upcoming 2017 spring season by competing in the Lebanon jamboree in a cold, brisk double header against Lebanon and Marshfield on Wednesday at Oley Scott Field.

The Bears were slated to open the regular season on Friday at Pierce City.

On Wednesday, Conway ended the day with just one hit as they matched up with Lebanon and Marshfield in a pair of four-inning scrimmages.

“I thought it went well but I was a little disapointed with how we did offensively,” Conway head coach Clay Bilyeu said. “We had a couple of well-hit balls that were right at people. But I thought we would be a little better offensively than what we showed.”

Bilyeu said the Bears played some solid defense throughout the two scrimmages and held their own with the two larger schools.
