The Lebanon girls’ track and field team will be leaning on five seniors this season according to head coach Shane Rebmann.

Three of the seniors — Faith Alwardt, Maddie O’Connor and Kelsey Winfrey — are coming off successful campaigns on the basketball court this winter.

O’Connor will serve as a distance runner and is coming off a strong fall campaign in cross country, followed by a strong senior season on the hardwood.

She will run the 800, mile and two mile.

“She really impressed us during cross country season, so I am looking forward to what she is going to bring to the table her senior year,” Rebmann said.

Winfrey will compete in the 400 and 800 and will also compete for several relay teams as well.

Winfrey is the school record holder in the 800 and has even tried her hand at the triple jump this spring.
