‘Rebuild, repair, renew’: Hartzler gives an update on what Congress is doing in Washington D.C.

Despite what’s been in the news lately, there are good things happening in Washington, D.C., Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler told the Lebanon Rotary Club Thursday.

Hartzler spoke at the club’s noon luncheon and provided examples of things she says the U.S. House of Representative has accomplished.

“In the House, we have passed 269 bills so far, making this the most productive beginning of any congressional session with a new president in the modern era, since before George H.W. Bush,” Hartzler said. “We have passed a lot of bills, the economy is growing, the Dow Jones has hit 34 record highs since the beginning of the year, and we’ve added one million new jobs.”

Hartzler said one of the biggest accomplishments this year has been the elimination of regulations she said were hurting businesses.
