Lebanon Police on Monday took a woman into custody on drug-related charges.

Officers were dispatched to the Midwest Inn on Route W for a check well being and possible drug activity investigation, according to a LPD incident report.

Police said a 21-year-old Lebanon woman in a room there told them that she was fine and that there were no issues.

According to police, she stated that her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend had just left the room 30 minutes ago because she had asked them to provide payment toward the rent and food she had been buying.

An officer then asked for her consent to search the room and she then stated that “they were probably going to find ‘this’ and then removed a multi-colored water bong from beside the bed which still contained residue from previous use,” according to the report.

The officer again asked if they could conduct a search of the room and she then pulled out a mason jar which contained a marijuana and other paraphernalia, according to police. Police say she then offered to allow officers to search the remainder of the residence.

The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Lebanon Police Department. At the police station she was booked, processed and issued two summonses for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia with a municipal court date.
