Celebrating the 4th with fireworks

For many the Fourth of July is a celebration of American independence.

For some it is a celebration of pretty lights in the night sky that makes them ooh and aah in delight.

For others it is a celebration of things that go boom and make neighbors angry.

Either way, leaving Lebanon by any highway means seeing fireworks stands just outside the city limits.

Both the sale of and the use of fireworks is banned in the city of Lebanon. Prior to family celebrations of the Fourth, the best selling fireworks are the noise makers.
