Clay shooting tournament will raise funds for scholarships

Local marksmen will soon have the opportunity to see which of them is the best shot is while contributing to a good cause.

The Lebanon Optimist Club will be holding its 18th annual Sporting Clays Tournament at 8 a.m. April 1 at the Southvalley Sportsman’s Club. Nearly all of the funds raised at the tournament will go to provide scholarships to students in the Lebanon and Conway school districts. According to Optimist Club member Austin Fonda, the club usually provides about five $500 scholarships to local students.
