The 2017 Laclede County Hometown Heroes were recognized at breakfast held Thursday in the Cowan Civic Center. This year’s Hometown Heroes are, from left, Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Tyler Zimmerman, Lynn Boulware, Coach Will Christian, Lakiah Capps and Missouri Highway Patrol Sgt. Jason Glendenning.

Five influential and inspirational Laclede County people received recognition Thursday at the Lebanon Area Foundation’s Hometown Heroes Breakfast.

The awards were presented by the Lebanon Area Foundation in partnership with Laclede Electric Cooperative at the Cowan Civic Center. The program began with an invocation from Pastor Matt Flanders of Family Church, the presentation of colors by the Lebanon Color Guard, the national anthem performed by Christopher Judy and the pledge of allegiance led by Mayor Josh Ray. This year’s Hometown Heroes were then introduced in a video presentation.

To find out why these individuals were chosen, see the Friday print edition of The Daily Record, or view the e-Edition online.
