Laclede County Sheriff's Office patch

According to a report a deputy filed for the Laclede County Sheriff’s Department, Monday at 7:00 p.m. he responded to a report of a woman in a bathing suit walking down the middle of the roadway near Missouri 64 and Route KK and falling into the ditch.

When he arrived on the scene, EMS responders said the woman had fled into a wooded area behind the Little Country Store.

The deputy located the woman in a brushy area, and she attempted to run from him but fell.

He was able to place her in handcuffs and walk her to his patrol car.

The woman appeared to the deputy to be intoxicated, according to the report. She was screaming, yelling and not making sense.

She also had bleeding cuts and scrapes all over her legs.
The woman initially would not give her name, but after being transported to Mercy Hospital because of her intoxication, she gave her name but not her address or other information.
She was released to hospital staff to sober up and for treatment of her injuries.
No charges were filed.
