With 2018 right around the corner, the Daily Record is looking back on 2017 and revisiting some of the biggest stories of the year.
From political shakeups to tragic events, 2017 has been a big year for Lebanon and Laclede County. With the aid of online analytics, the Daily Record has compiled a list of the most read stories on www.lebanondailyrecord.com during 2017. Starting from the bottom, here are the top 10 most read stories of 2017:

10) Boy rescued from drain grate at park (March 22)

Emergency personnel and Parks Department employees rescued a 13-year-old boy from a drain grate in Boswell Park on March 22. The boy said he went into the drain to retrieve a shoe, but when he tried to leave, he got stuck in the grate.

9) Three hurt in Missouri 5 wreck
(May 17)

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck at Missouri 5 and Harris Lane on May 17. The 85-year-old driver of a 1996 Dodge pickup truck allegedly fell out of his truck.
