Budding thespians at Lebanon Middle School will serve up a story of family and growing up when they perform Scott Davidson’s stage adaptation of “Little Women” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Lebanon Middle School, 2700 Buzz Pride Drive.
According to LMS drama teacher Lindsey Marcum, the play portrays selected stories from Louisa May Alcott’s bildungsroman. For those unfamiliar with the novel, Marcum explained that story is set during the Civil War and follows the four March sisters through about six years of their lives.
“You have your four sisters and their mother, and the father has gone off to war to fight in the Civil War,” Marcum stated. “So they have to take care of each other, and they have to take care of their mom, and it’s about the struggles they go through; it’s about the adventures they go on. It is about love — so everyone can relate to it in some way.”
