LPD investigates rash of counterfeit money

Counterfeit $20 bills are popping up in Lebanon stores.

According to six reports filed by Lebanon Police Department officers, cashiers have received multiple fake $20 bills.

At 2:34 p.m., Thursday, an officer responded to a call from McDonald's on Jefferson where three counterfeit $20 bills were spotted.

At 10:11 p.m., Friday, in the 500 block of Commercial, the reporting party said two counterfeit $20 bills were passed on two different days. An unidentified man who passed the second $20 bill left the store in an unknown direction.
