A man was taken into custody after allegedly making death threats to his neighbors late last week in the 23000 block of McClurg Drive.

Laclede County Sheriff’s deputies who investigated reported the man denied pointing a gun at anyone and said “it was just a BB gun,” according to a April 6 Laclede County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Deputies talked to residents who reportedly told them the neighbor pointed a BB gun at their door and when a man went outside and followed him the suspect said that he was going to “get a real gun and shoot everybody.”

The neighbor who made the alleged threats was transported to the Laclede County Jail for a 24-hour hold, according to the report.
