Drivers in and residents of Lebanon may have noticed his neon green shirt or the three-wheeled stroller he pushed through town Monday and Tuesday.

Some may have seen the sign on the stroller: Walk Across America.

Those with excellent eyesight might have seen his web page, sebastienjacques.com, or his Twitter account @iamsebjacques.

None of that tells the whole story, however.

It began in 2011 when Sebastien Jacques, a Canadian who was a top tennis player at Virginia Tech, became physically impaired by the brain tumor growing at the center of his brain.

Its location made operating problematic. Doctors told him to get used to walking 15 minutes a day or less.
