After a Lebanon woman tossed her child into an LPD officer’s arms, charges were filed.

According to the report filed by an Lebanon Police Department officer, he was dispatched at 12:19 p.m. Sunday to Nelson Park on a disturbance report.

He saw a 27-year-old woman holding a baby and saw her throw something toward the pond. When he approached her, she was stumbling and tossed the baby into his arms.

He quickly checked the infant for any medical issues, but she appeared fine.

The woman, however, was crying and screaming at the same time, according to the report.

She stated she had been in an argument with her 46-year-old boyfriend of Lebanon.

The officer made contact with the man and saw he had scratches on his face and chest. The man and his daughter stated that the woman had assaulted him.

The officer placed her under arrest for domestic assault. Due to her being intoxicated, he transported her to Mercy for a fit for confinement examination before transporting her to the Laclede County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
