An Imperial woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 10 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 44 at the eastbound 138 mile marker, eight miles east of Lebanon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kayla G. Smith, 22, of Imperial, the driver of an eastbound 2005 Toyota Solara swerved to avoid a vehicle stopped in the left lane and struck the trailer of an eastbound 2016 International Tractor driven by Craig S. Edwards, of Sheridan, Mich.

Smith was transported to Mercy Hospital Lebanon, with what the Highway Patrol described as minor injuries.

Both drivers were reportedly wearing seat belts.
