In his third year in the NFL, Lebanon graduate Justin Britt has found a home at center this season playing for the Seattle Seahawks. It is the third position he has played in his three years since being drafted in the second round in 2014 following a standout career at the University of Missouri.

But Britt says being a versatile athlete has been an important part of his makeup as an athlete, starting at Lebanon.

“Growing up I started at full back, then went to tight end before moving to the offensive line and I feel like people in this community always have the attitude in the football program to what is best for the team and we just want to win,” Britt said.

That mentality stuck with Britt during his playing days at the University of Missouri under former head coach Gary Pinkel and on to the NFL.

“When I was at Mizzou we just wanted to win championships and then you get to the League and it is a business,” Britt said. “The more you can do, the better it is for your future and the chances of you staying in the league for the longest time.”
