Man claims he attacked the wrong woman

An unknown man mistakenly attacked a woman he thought he knew before running away.
 
At about 1:19 p.m. Sunday a Lebanon Police officer responded to a safe house in reference to an assault.
 
According to an incident report from the LPD, a 34-year-old woman who is currently staying at a safe house in Lebanon said she assaulted by a stranger while on a walk.
 
The victim said an unknown man wearing a gray hood like sweatshirt struck her in the head and ran away yelling obscenities that he hit the wrong woman, the report says.
 
The victim said she has no clue where the suspect ran or who he was. The officer told the victim that extra patrol would take place in the area of the incident.
 
While speaking with the victim, Lebanon Mercy Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene and transported her to the hospital for further analysis.
