Brayden Simpson placed 13th overall and helped lead the Lebanon boys’ cross country program to a solid finish on Saturday at the Ozark Conference meet held at Lake Springfield.
With his finish, Simpson earned a spot on the second team All-Ozark Conference list by placing in the top 14 in the varsity race.

During the conference meet, the first seven runners earn first team all-conference honors, while the next seven earn second team honors.

Lebanon head cross country coach Teresa Moore said despite the rain, it was a solid day for her program.

“We are in a very tough conference for cross country and I was really proud of how the kids compete,” Moore said. “The race started at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning and so did the rain. Just as the girls lined up to start their race the rain set in and continued throughout most of the races.”

In the boys’ race, Zach Jamieson finished the day in 31st, Dylan Krisher placed 40th, Ben Woods 48th, Manny Del-Rio Vasquez 52nd, Evan Rogers 54th and Dylan Church in 57th.
