Mr. and Mrs. B's final tour

An often used metaphor is that teachers wear many hats in their profession-mentor, role model and dispenser of wisdom.
To capture the local legend known affectionately as Mr. B, add some literal headgear to the mix: a lightning bolt, an arrow through the head and a moose antler hat being just a few in a very large collection.
Mr. B, whose real name is Don Brenton, is retiring this year after 40 years of teaching music.
Brenton likes Esther Elementary where he will finish his teaching journey.
“The people in this building just rock the planet,” Brenton said.
When they pass by his room, they might hear his class singing and carefully enunciating “Belly button, belly button fuzz” as a warm-up drill.
