The Lebanon City Council approved an agreement with the Lebanon School District for use of tennis courts at its meeting Monday night.

The Lebanon City Council approved an agreement Monday night with the Lebanon R-3 School District that could allow citizens to use the Mary Jean Wampler tennis facility when not in use by the school district.
The Lebanon Park Board approved paying $29,500 to help cover the cost of improvements to the facility in exchange for the access. The money will go to the Lebanon Area Foundation Tennis Facility fund.
Acting City Administrator Ben DeClue said the agreement will run for a 10 year term to automatically renew every year.  He said a new tennis facility would cost the city about $180,000.
City and parks staff will be granted access to the facility. It will be closed during the winter months, from Dec. 1 through Feb. 28 each year.
