Robert S. Moore Sr. “Steve,’’ 65, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, in Lebanon.
He was born Nov. 1, 1952, in Flippin, Ohio to Jack Moore and Charlotte Moore, who preceded him in death.
Steve spent the beginning of his life in Toledo, Ohio. In his 30’s he moved to Lebanon where he met and married the love of his life, Lee Brown.
He was known for his love of construction, his wood working skills, and strong work ethic. During the last 13 years of his life Steve spent many hours working at the Laclede County Sheriff’s Dept. and took great pride in his work there.
Steve was an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and made a profession of faith many years ago. He was not afraid to share with others the changes that God had made in his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a loyal friend. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Moore, of the home; five sons, Steve Moore Jr. (Amy), of Maryville, Ill.; Charles Moore (Jessica), of Lebanon; Gary Moore (Angie), of Anderson, S.C.; Gerald Hendrix (Megan), of Corvallis, Ore.; Josh Moore, of Lebanon and a daughter, Yolanda Knack (Phil), of Genoa, Ohio; a brother, Gary Moore, of Illinois; five sisters, Helen Ingmire, Charlene Yamek, Rose Strain, all of Ohio; Barbara Moore, of Illinois and Karen Gillis, of Lebanon; nine grandchildren, Kyle, Jake, Maddie, Parker, Andrew, Micah, Mallony, Isaac, and a brand new baby girl.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2018, at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
