Laclede Electric sponsors Hometown Heroes

Marc Roecker

Laclede Electric Cooperative presented a check Wednesday to help fulfill its sponsorship pledge for the Laclede County Hometown Heroes breakfast to be held in April.
Laclede Electric CEO Marc Roecker said the $3,500 represented the second year of a three-year commitment to be the Community Cares sponsor for Hometown Heroes.
He said the cooperative welcomed the chance to help out with this event.
“When I presented our board of directors with the opportunity to be primary sponsor of the Hometown Heroes event, they were really enthusiastic about doing that because we want to give back to the community,” Roecker said.  “Hometown Heroes has been such a wonderful event for so many years It’s a great event for the community to come together and feel good about all the great things that are going on in the community and to recognize those heroes.”
Melinda Fries, administrator of the Lebanon Area Foundation, said this is the second year her organization has been responsible for the Hometown Heroes event.
