Ancell Mack Atkins, 79, of Lebanon, died Feb. 3, 2018 in St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Atkins; one son, Ancell Mark Atkins and his wife Kathleen; two daughters, Mary Lenore Atkins Riggs and Susan Katherine Atkins Black and her husband Jeff; two grandchildren, Cameron Andrew Black and Mary Katherine Atkins; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Almon Andrews and Mary Josephine Mack Atkins.
On March 11, 1961, he married Karen Sue Tompkins.
Ancell graduated from Drury College with degree in eduction and a master’s degree in education and certification in special education and guidance. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He spent his working years giving a lifetime of service for 30 years to the Lebanon School system in citizenship, guidance, special education and career development placement. Ancell was a member of Laclede Lodge #83 A.F. & M. And Lebanon Chapter H.S. - Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years.
He was a member of First Christian Church.
Funeral service arrangements for Ancell Mack Atkins are incomplete at this time and will be announce by Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
