Traditions: O'Daniel has spent his retirement teaching the youth of Laclede County about hunting

“What I’d like to say first,” Stan O’Daniel stated when he sat down for an interview in the Laclede County field office of the Missouri Department of Conservation, where he often drops in for a visit “is how much we have been blessed, far beyond anything we ever imagined. God has always taken  good care of us, in our family, in business, in everything.”
Stan O’Daniel is a man of many talents, particularly in the area of business. Originally from Memphis, Tenn., Stan and Carolyn moved to northern Mississippi after they married. He was running a convenience store there near a Corps of Engineers reservoir in the early 1980s when his wife, Carolyn and his mother, visited Branson.
“You’ve got to see this place,” she told him when she called home. “This is it.”
