June Marie (Pitts) Turner, 88, of Buffalo, died Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Colonial Springs Healthcare in Buffalo.
She was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Charity, Mo. to Hugh and Bertha (Gaunt) Pitts.
In February of 1946, she married Billie Joe Turner.
June was reared and attended school in the Charity area. June and Billie Joe made their home in Buffalo before moving to Marshall for a short time while Billie managed a farm. They moved back to Buffalo, and then Springfield for two years before settling at their home near Buffalo. June worked for Key Industries and drove a school bus for 30 years.
She was a member of the North Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and loved her Lord and Savior.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Joe Turner; her parents; five brothers; one sister, one grandchild, and two daughters-in-law, Lanna Turner and Connie Turner.
Survivors include her children, Billie Turner, of Fair Grove; Larry Turner, of Elkland; Joe and wife Patsy Turner, of Buffalo, and Patsy and husband, Milton Duskin, of Lebanon; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, also other family members and friends.
Funeral services for June Marie Turner will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2018, in Canton Otterness Funeral Chapel in Buffalo with Bro. Dusty Armstrong and Bro. Dennis Skinner officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery under the direction of Cantlon Otterness Funeral Home of Buffalo.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
