Susan Kendrew-Peterson, 76, of Lebanon, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 27, 2018, in Mercy Hospital Springfield.
She was born April 2, 1941, in Fitchburg, Mass. to Russell and Julia Sawyer Jollymore, who preceded her in death.
Early in her life she married Thomas Kendrew, and to this union two daughters and one son were born. Thomas died in 1985. On May 1, 1994, she married John L. Peterson III, and they share the last 23 years.
She was born and raised in Massachusetts and graduated from Winchendon High School. She and Thomas made their home in Winchendon and lovingly raised their children. Besides being a devoted homemaker and mother, Susan was employed by Teleflex for several years. The family then moved to Rindge, N.H. and Susan earned her cosmetology license and worked as a hair stylist for a number of years. Susan and John moved to Lebanon in 2009.
Susan was baptized into the Methodist faith as a child.
Survivors include her husband, John, of the home; two daughters, Tammy Deyo and her husband, Michael, of Enfield, N.H.; Sherry Kendrew-Bean and her husband, Kenneth, of Grafton, N.H.; three sons, Mark Kendrew and his wife, Donna, of Ripley, Maine; William Peterson and his wife, Sharon, of Windham, N.H.; David Peterson, of Nashua, N.H.; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Geraldine Howard, of Albany, Ohio; Donna McConnell and Pearl McConnell, both of Winchendon, Mass., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Susan Kendrew-Peterson were held at 6 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018, in Holman-Howe Funeral Home under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
Visitation will be immediately following the service in the funeral home.
