Betty Elaine Burns, 72, of Phillipsburg, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, in Phillipsburg.

She was born Dec. 14, 1944, in Lebanon, Mo. to Johnnie and Wilma Shivers Price.

On Sept. 28, 1963, she married Billy Bob Burns.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Bob Burns on March 15, 2016; one sister, Mary Thurman; one brother, Jim Price, and a great-granddaughter, Mikayla Kincheloe.

Betty was a homemaker while her children were growing up. She later worked in restaurants and grocery stores. She loved fishing, camping, reading, crossword puzzles, and painting. Mostly she enjoyed cooking dinners for her family and spending time with her grandkids.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Hartford City, Ind.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Burns (Penny), and Andy Burns, all of Phillipsburg; two daughters, Cathy Kinion (Scott), of Lake Ozark, Mo.; Linda Burns, of Phillipsburg; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Larry Price and Gary Price, both of Lebanon; Rick Price (Debbie), of Camdenton; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Betty Elaine Burns will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Michael Kinion officiating.

Burial will be in Ozark Community Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
