Charles Alvin (C.A.) Stubblefield

Charles Alvin (C.A.) Stubblefield, 86, of Lebanon, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, in Lebanon.
He was born Sept. 10, 1930, in Stoutland, Mo. to Charles Alvin and Eunice Smith Stubblefield.
On Oct. 14, 1950, he married Claudia Ruth Barclay.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Howard A., Joe Robert, and Billy; seven sisters, Helen M. Iuluicci, Leonette D. Waterworth, Mary E. Uder, Vera E. Fohn, Bobbie and Betty, and an infant girl. Billy, Bobbie and Betty were triplet siblings. Also preceding him were 10 nieces and nephews.
C.A. was a salesman, first in appliances and clothing, owning a retail dairy route business in Laclede, Pulaski and Camden counties. For 30 years he was employed by Banker's Life & Casualty in insurance sales.

He was baptized at the old First Christian Church in Lebanon, and became a member of Friendship Christian Church in the Auglaize community.

Survivors include his wife, Claudia; one son, Kevin Neal Stubblefield and his wife, Rhonda, of Lebanon; three daughters, Charla Elizabeth O'Dea and husband, Bill, of Belle Fourche, S.D.; Melissa Alayne Bollig, of Lebanon; Melanie Gay Noakes and husband, Daniel, of Nixa; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for C.A. Stubblefield will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, in Shadel's Colonial Chapel. At his request, his body is to be cremated and burial will be at a later date under the direction of Shadel's Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

Visitation will be held beginning at 1:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
Memorials have been suggested to Shepherds Pack at First Christian Church, Barnett Cemetery, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church or the Trail Ridge Saddle Club, and donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel's Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
