Cleo Elam, 82, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, in Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.
He was born Oct. 9, 1934, near Brownfield, Mo. to Charley and Mary Ellen Reid Elam.
On Dec. 11, 1954, he married Dorothy Bohannon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Homer, Frank, Robbie, Earnest, Floyd Elam and an infant; and two sisters, Irene Harrill and Marie Anderson.
Cleo was born and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1953. He worked for Campbell 66 for 25 years, and then was employed in the Waste Water Management Department for the City of Lebanon.
He made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of North Five Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of the home; two daughters, Diane Slavens and her husband, Tommy, of Lebanon, and Deanna Scrivner and her husband, Mark, of Lebanon; a son, Dennis Elam and his wife, Jeannie, of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Michelle Frazier, Michael Scrivner, Lindsey Scrivner, Denise Elam, Barbie Chapman, and Britney Layman; two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Chapman Layman; also a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service and burial for Cleo Elam will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017, in Roper Cemetery at Morgan with the Rev. Gary Sheets officiating, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
