David E. Moyle Jr., 65, of Phillipsburg, died Thursday, March 1, 2018, in Mercy Hospital Springfield.
He was born Jan. 19, 1953, in Providence, R.I. to David Elmer Moyle Sr. and Anna P. Brown Moyle.
David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Moyle.
He was born and raised in Rhode Island and then moved to Sunbury, Pa. where he attended high school. He entered the military as a young man, and served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army from 1970 until 1973. He served during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Germany for part of that time. He then returned to Pennsylvania where he worked as a truck driver for North American Van Lines until retiring in 2010. He eventually came to Missouri and made his home near Phillipsburg.
Survivors include his fiancee, Debbie Stubbs, of Phillipsburg; three daughters, Anne Moyle, and Mary Jo Moyle, both of Alaska; Jennifer Moyle and her fiance, Ephraim Cintron, of Milton, Pa.; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two brothers, Daniel Moyle and his wife, Joyce, of Holcomb, Mo. and Michael Moyle and his wife, Vicky, of Sunbury, Pa.; a sister, Cindy Mitchell and her husband, Mitch, of Mifflinburg, Pa., and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for David E. Moyle Jr. will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Springfield National Cemetery with Pastor Ty Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Springfield National Cemetery in Springfield with Full Military Honors, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
