Delmer Joseph “Pete’’ Prescott

Delmer Joseph “Pete’’ Prescott, 90, of Lebanon, formerly of Crocker, died Thursday morning, Nov. 9, 2017.

He was born July 9, 1927, at Fort Smith, Ark. to Joseph H and Ola (Moody) Prescott.

On Aug. 14, 1960, he married Helen Collins at Waynesville, who preceded him in death on Nov. 14, 2016. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Vera Sneed and second wife, Jean Marie Dreier; his parents; three brothers, Eugene, Paul and Carroll Prescott and one sister, Lola Guraleczka.

He was a World War II United States Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 195. He was owner and operator of several small businesses in Crocker for many years as well as being a retired barber. He enjoyed reading and being with his family.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Henry Hauck, of Dixon and DiAnn and Tom Rowden, of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Tara Taylor, Travis Hauck, Tori Gregg and Justin Rowden; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Willhite and Sutton Hauck; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Loretta Prescott, of Alma, Ark.; one sister, Johnnie Shigley, of Springdale, Ark., and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services with military honors for Delmer “Pete’’ Prescott were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, in the Crocker Cemetery with Jimmy Moore officiating, under the direction of Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Crocker.
