Doris I. Flageolle, 81, of Mountain Grove, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, in her daughter’s home in Rogersville.
She was born Sept. 28, 1936, in Jefferson County, Colo. to William Ernest and Daisy Darlene Gorman Gruber.
On Nov. 17, 1952, she married Ralph Sylvester Flageolle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph, on Nov. 22, 2006; a daughter, Joy Fageolle; two sons-in-law, Bob Dibben, and Rick Forrest; three grandchildren, Little Ricky, Michael, and Jennifer; two great-grandchildren, Macy and Dakota, and two sisters.
Doris was raised in the Denver, Colo. area. After she and Ralph and married they made their home in Denver until moving the family to Mountain Grove in 1966. Throughout the years, Doris was a devoted homemaker to her husband and a loving mother to her children.
She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she has been involved in the Women’s Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Stan Flageolle and his wife, Barb, of Lebanon; five daughters, Lois Putt and her husband, Ron, of Mountain Grove; Janice Dibben, of Rogersville; Regina Taylor and her husband, Don, of Arcola, Ill.; June Forrest, of Rogersville, and Kim Homer and her husband, David, of Mountain Grove; 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, a brother, David Wells, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Doris I. Flageolle were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mountain Grove with Father Paul Wightman and Pastor Davy Homer officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Mountain Grove, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
Visitation was from 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield.
