Dorothy “Eloise’’ Ikerd, 85, of Conway, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, in Springfield.

She was born Jan. 24, 1932, in Morgan, Mo. to Fred and Iva Mildred Lowrance Long.

On Nov. 23, 1949, she married Robert Thomas Ikerd.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bob Ikerd on May 20, 2015.

Eloise was a school teacher in the Conway school system for 30 years, retiring in 1988.

She was a longtime member of Happy Home Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Terry Lynn Ikerd and his wife, Beverly, of Kimberling City and Tim Lee Ikerd, of Merriam, Kan.; one daughter, Joni Marsh and her husband, B.J., of Springfield; one brother, James Robert “Bob’’ Long and his wife, Gwen of Conway; one sister, Roberta Edwina Neas and her husband, J.R., of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Huckaby and Craig, Melinda Frandson and Troy, Chris Ikerd and P.J., and Kelly Denney, Marty Marsh and Trish, Monte Marsh, and Jeff Brown and Leighann; 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for  Dorothy “Eloise’’ Ikerd will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Happy Home Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Conway. Burial will be in Happy Home Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

Visitation will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Monday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Happy Home Cemetery and donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
