Freda Maxine McDaniel, 84, of Richland, died Dec. 18, 2017, in Butler, Mo.
She was born Sept. 1, 1933, in Waynesville,  Mo. to Jasper Newton and Burtha Fredonia Cook Steward.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Deborah Danne, and Sonya Porry; two sons, Rickey Ellzey and Randy Ellzey; two brothers, Billy Gene and Delmer Steward and one sister, Shirley Allen.
She worked for Play Craft Pontoon. She was the owner and operator of a restaurant in Waynesville, and also worked at H.D. Lee from where she eventually retired.
Freda was a member of Center Point Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Roxena Rae Curtis, of Rich Hill; Shannon Cherrel McConnell and husband, Wayne, of Pleasant Hill and Jaquetha NeahLonnia Lawson, of Sarcoxie; five brothers, Larry Steward, of Richland; Bob Steward, of Montreal; Elmer Steward, of Richland; Robert Steward, of Montreal, and Gary Steward, of Iberia; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life service for Freda Maxine McDaniel will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at
Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Stuart Gilstrap officiating.
Private burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Richland. At her request, Freda is to be cremated under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will be from noon until service time also on Friday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
