Geary Lee Sullens

Geary Lee Sullens, 65, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, in Springfield.

He was born Dec. 28, 1951, in Mountain Grove, Mo. to Lester and Bessie Middleton Sullens.
On July 25, 1970, he married Sandy Peters.

From 1970-1974 he worked for Gilbert Adkins Body Shop, from 1974-1980 he worked for Lindsay Chevrolet, from 1980-1985 he was the owner/operator of Geary Sullens Body Shop in Richland. He reopened the shop in 1989, where he remained working for the duration of his life.

Geary was a member of Candock Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Sullens; two sons, Rick Sullens and his wife, Dori, of Windsor and Mark Sullens and his wife, Crystal, of Richland; three brothers, Joe Lucas and his wife, Colleen, of Richland; Raymond “Smitty’’ Sullens and John Henry Sullens, both of Oregon; three sisters, Linda Wilson, of Lebanon; Kay Starner, of Richland, and Geraldine Emerson, of Oregon; three grandchildren, Chressa, Christopher, and Alyssa; three great-grandchildren, Landon, Carson and Levi; other relatives and many friends.

A graveside service and burial for Geary Lee Sullens will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at Hazelgreen Cemetery with Lucas Malott officiating, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.

Memorials have been suggested to the Hazelgreen Cemetery and donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
