Junior Tennison, 94, of Lebanon, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, in Lebanon.

He was born June 6, 1923, in Lebanon, Mo. to Herman Thomas “Doc’’ and Neva Pearl Snyder Tennison.
On Oct. 3, 1948, he married Lenora Mizer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lenora; his son, Thomas Edgar (Eddie) Tennison; his sister, Juanita Tennison and brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Vontreace Tennison and Tom and Alice Tennison.
Junior was a Laclede County farmer. He served in the United States Army. He was employed with Rice Stix Manufacturing, MFA Feeds, as a route salesman for Kitty Clover and lastly with Marathon Electric, retiring in 1988.
He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, three sons, Larry Tennison and his wife, Janice, of Findley, Ohio; Ben Tennison and his wife, Neta, of Marshfield; David Tennison and his wife, Jacquie, of Lebanon; five daughters, Wanda Tyre and her husband, Greg, Patsy Curl and her husband, Bob, Judy Taylor and her husband, Bob, Kate Raef and her husband, Kent, all of Lebanon, and Marcia Tennison, of Shawnee, Okla.; two brothers, Ralph Tennison and his wife, Betty, of Houston and Jack Tennison and his wife, Judy, of Topeka, Kan.; one sister, Rowena Calton, of Lebanon; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; special caregiver, Sharon Logan, of Lebanon, other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services for Junior Tennison will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at First Baptist Church with Matt Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park with military honors provided by the United States Army, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
