Kathleen Sue Noe, 78, of Lebanon, died Monday morning, Feb. 19, 2018, in her home near Lebanon.
She was born Jan. 14, 1940, in Lebanon, Mo. to Jason Perry and Grace West VanHooser.
On June 19, 1964 she was united in marriage to Rex Leon Noe, and to this union one son and three daughters were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Levi Culbertson; a brother, Larry VanHooser and his wife, Joyce, and a brother-in-law, Bill Leek.
Kathleen was born and raised in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School. She then attended Southwest Baptist University and finished her Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri University. After she and Rex were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area and lovingly raised their family. Later, she earned her Master’s Degree from Drury University. Kathleen began a career in education, and through the years had taught at Cabool, Stoutland, Joel E. Barber and Waynesville R-VI School System where she taught home economics for 20 years, and was named Teacher of the Year.
She was a longtime active member of Southern Heights Christian Church where she had worked as a youth group sponsor.
Survivors include her husband, Rex, of the home; a son, Kendall Noe and his wife, Heather, of Columbia; three daughters, Kristine Coffman and her husband, Jeff, of Lebanon; Janene Mathis and her husband, Michael, of Moberly and Nyla Sanderson and her husband, Art, of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; a brother, J.W. VanHooser and his wife, Jean, of Houston, Texas; a sister, Rita Leek, of Merriam, Kan. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Kathleen Sue Noe will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, in Southern Heights Christian Church with Kendall Noe officiating, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Saturday in the church.
Memorial donations to the Lebanon Pregnancy Support Center may be made through the funeral home.
Private burial and graveside services will be Saturday morning in Lebanon Cemetery.
