Linda A. Kimmel, 69, of Theresa, Wis., formerly, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at her home.
She was born Aug. 25, 1947, to Robert Piaro and Muriel Mixdorf (Schauer).
On June 23, 2000, she married James Kimmel in Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her mother-in-law, Paula Brackett.
Linda served as vice president of the VFW, was a foster parent, and was a volunteer house manager for Love Ministries’ Transformed Recovery House.
She is survived by her husband, James Kimmel; four daughters, Sandra (Rock) Charlton Reiss, of Cudahy, Wis. and her two children, Katelyn and CJ; Sheri (Kevin) Krupp, of New Holstein, Wis., and her daughter, Sami (Chase); Wendy Senger, of Theresa, Wis. and her two daughters, Clarissa and Josie; Rebecca Schuster, of West Bend, Wis. and her three children, Kayla (Darien Homuth), Kelly and Kyle; seven siblings, Robert (Judy) Piaro, Cindy Lidicker, Dawn (Christ) Groh, Debra Krueger, Christine (James) Simon, Todd Mixdorf, and Bryan Mixdorf; her stepfather, Dale Mixdorf; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Linda A. Kimmel will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at the V.F.W. Post 1393, 2016 Sand Drive in West Bend, Wis., where friends and family will have an opportunity to share memories and words about Linda. The family will greet relatives and friends at the V.F.W. from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Myrhum Patten Miller and Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Linda’s arrangements.
