Louis Claude Domingue, 81, of Lebanon, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 12, 2017, in Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
He was born Oct. 27, 1936, to Louis A. Domingue and Mary Alice Mitchell.
On Aug. 15, 1955, he married Martha May Vaughn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, David Best, and three brothers, Robert Mitchell, Jerry Domingue and Bill Domingue.
Louis had a distinguished 22 year career in the United States Army. He served in Germany, Vietnam, and Korea. He was very patriotic, a good bowler, and a race car enthusiast. After retiring from the Army, he worked as a long haul truck driver for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Martha, of the home; a son, Claude Steven Domingue and his wife, Jean, of Richland; four grandchildren, Britny Dukish and her husband, Brian, Steven, Megan, and Jon-Michael Domingue; three sisters, Charlotte Gubber, of Connecticut; Louise Pierce and her husband, Jim, and Dorothy Steiger, all of Massachusetts, also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Louis Claude Domingue will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Fort Leonard Wood, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Memorial donations to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Hospital may be made through the funeral home.
