Lynda Grimes

Lynda Grimes, 69, of Eldridge, died Monday morning, Feb. 27, 2017, in her home near Eldridge.
She was born Dec. 30, 1947, in Fort Morgan, Colo. to Harvey M. and Zadie F. Timmons Churchill.
On June 17, 1965, she married Lilburn Joel Grimes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Newton Knight.
Lynda was born and raised in Colorado and moved with her family to the Lebanon area when she was a teenager. She then graduated from Lebanon High School. After she and Lilburn were married, they made their home in the Eldridge community and lovingly raised their children. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Lynda also worked in the boat industry for several years, including Bass Tracker, Lowe Boats, and Generation-3.
Survivors include her husband, Lilburn, of the home; a son, Tim Grimes and his wife, Susan, of Phillipsburg; a daughter, Melinda Rainey and her husband, Jimmy, of Claremore, Okla.; several grandchildren; a brother, Larry Churchill, of Eldridge; six sisters, Marlene Kovanda and her husband, Ed, of Fort Morgan, Colo.; Cynthia Fowler and her husband, Denny, of Deepwater, Mo.; Vivian Baronowiski, of Stoutland; Anita Knight, of Lebanon; Nita Stephenson and her husband, Webb, of Muncie, Ind.; Martha Knight, of Fort Morgan, Colo., and several nieces and nephews.
Private services for Lynda Grimes will be held at a later date under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
