Melba Mae Wyatt, 96, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2108, in Lebanon.
She was born Oct. 22, 1921, in Madison, Kan. to Albert Eugene and Lydia Mae Mackney Greenwood.
In 1960 she married Russel Wyatt
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russel Wyatt; infant son, William Robert; granddaughters, Casey and Mary Katherine Capps; son-in-law, Dale Whipple; two sisters, Thelma Brown and Mary Katherine Greenwood, and one brother, Robert Greenwood.
Melba was employed with Casey’s Clothing Store. She also worked at Farm Bureau Insurance for Gerald Knight and later Gene Ruble. She was also a devoted homemaker.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Capps and her husband, Lester; Janice Whipple, and Judy Strickland and her husband, Donald, all of Lebanon; one son, Dr. Richard Wyatt and his wife, Linda, of Rockville, Md.; her brother, Billy Greenwood, of Madison, Kan.; 10 grandchildren, Jonathan Capps and his wife, Jennifer, Meggan Capps and her fiancee Dan Seawel, Angie Allen, Dr. D.K. Strickland, Kim Townsend and her husband, Travis, Chris Whipple and his wife, Kristy, Gregory Wyatt, Grace Snitgen and her husband, Doug, Katherine Carson and her husband, Chris, and William Richardson and his wife, Akiko; 11 great-grandchildren, Rory and Ryker Capps, Lauren Jackson and her husband, Matt, Hunter Allen, Alex Whipple, Maddie and Emily Whipple, Kennedy, Kate, Ava, and Chase Carson, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service and burial for Melba Mae Wyatt will be held at 2 p.m Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at Mount Rose Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Turner officiating, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Friends may call at their convenience at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
