Neva Maxine Hicks, 94, of Richland, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, in Richland.
She was born Jan. 8, 1924, in Pulaski County, Mo. to Earl and Freda Deaton Nicks.
On June 8, 1942, she married Don Hicks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don Hicks; grandson, Samuel Don Hicks; brother, Willard B. Nicks, and brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Loweta Hicks.
Neva was a devoted homemaker. She also worked at Fort Leonard Wood Post Exchange, Department of Agriculture, and in the Pulaski County ACS office for several years assisting farmers in farm programs
She was a member of First Christian Church in Richland.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Hicks and his wife, Beverly, of Double Oak, Texas, and Kent Hicks and his wife, Tammy, of Laquey; one daughter, Janet Hicks, of Fair Grove; one brother, Larry Dan Nicks and wife, Cathy, of Richland; one sister, Donna Saylor and her husband, Bart, of Belmond, Iowa; sister-in-law Maxine Nicks, of Ohio; six grandchildren, Kristi Hicks, Emily LeBouef and Bryan, Amanda Watts and Nathaniel, Amy Scharthi and Gene (Junior) Hensley, Jordan Rivard and Jesse, and Billie Steward and Wade; six great-grandchildren, Madeline and Lucy Watts, Alexandra LeBoeuf, Annalis, Cora and Gunnar Hensley; special caregiver, Debbie Tomlinson, of Richland; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Neva Maxine Hicks will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Gene Earp officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
