Ruth “Carol’’ Jacobsen, 72, of Lebanon, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, in Lebanon North Nursing & Rehabilitation.
She was born Nov. 23, 1945, in Conway, Mo. to Earl E. and Juanita H. Green Hicks.
Carol was united in marriage to Loyal A. Jacobsen who preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2017. She also was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Everett L. Hicks, and a sister, Joan Riddell.
She was born and raised in the Conway area and graduated from Conway High School. She then lived in the Kansas City area for most of her adult years, and worked at the Parking Spot for several years. She then moved back to the Lebanon area later in her life.
Carol had attended Morgan Baptist Church early in her life.
She is survived by her mother, Juanita Hicks, of Conway; two sons, Steven Kennedy, of Marble Falls, Texas, and Kevin Kennedy and his wife, Amanda, of Georgia; a number of grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Hicks and Robert Hicks, both of Conway; two sisters, Connie Miller and her husband, Kerry, of Phillipsburg; Sue Medling and her husband, Don, of Laveen, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Billy Green, of Pleasant Hope.
Funeral services for Ruth “Carol’’ Jacobsen will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, in Holman-Howe Funeral Home with Billy Green officiating, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
Visitation will be immediately following the service in the funeral home.
Memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital may be made through the funeral home.
