The Lebanon High School football team avenged their 35-0 loss last Friday night with a huge 49-28 win over the Kickapoo Chiefs at ‘Jacket Stadium.

The ‘Jackets honored 22 football seniors before the game, as well as members of the LHS cheerleading team and dance team.

Lebanon (5-3) gained over 420 yards of total offense, including 256 rushing yards on 20 carries from senior running back John Berry. Berry also saw time at linebacker for the ‘Jackets.

“The machine (Berry) got back on track tonight offensively,” Lebanon head football coach Will Christian said. “I thought John played good (at linebacker). We made that move to him to switch out there so in a couple of weeks come playoff time he can have his feet wet.”

A week after giving up 35 points and close to 300 yards of total offense, the Lebanon defense rose to the occasion, allowing dual-threat quarterback and Missouri State baseball commit Mason Auer to under 100 passing yards and three rushing yards.
