Both LHS basketball teams to play for district titles Friday

WAYNESVILLE — Both the Lebanon boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will be competing Friday for district championships in Waynesville.
 
The LHS girls’ basketball team is the No. 1 overall seed in the Missouri Class 5 District 10 tournament and will face Waynesville at 7 p.m. on the Lady Tigers home floor.
 
ebanon (21-5) defeated Waynesville, 74-30, on Jan. 19 in Lebanon.
 
The ‘Jackets are ranked No. 8 in the latest Missouri Class 5 poll, and enter Friday’s game having won nine straight since dropping the championship game of its home tournament to Carl Junction on Jan. 28.
 
The Yellowjackets have won by an average of nearly 25 points per game during the stretch.
