Lebanon sophomore Cooper Hess returns for his second year of varsity golf with the Yellowjackets after a standout freshman season.

After a strong freshman season, Lebanon sophomore Cooper Hess looks to complete his ultimate goal of qualifying for state with the Yellowjackets boys’ golf team.

Hess came up short of his ultimate goal of qualifying for state as a freshman, but after a strong off-season the sophomore is ready for another chance to redeem himself.

Lebanon head coach Rod Sullens has high expectations for Hess after a terrific freshman season.

“Most everyone knows Cooper and the game he plays,” Sullens said. “He has been hitting the ball very well. He is a year older now and after not making it too state I think he is more subtle this year and I can’t wait to see what happens with him.”

The Daily Record recently caught up with Hess and asked him about his sophomore season and expectations for this season.
